This location is a co-branded Long John Silver's and KFC restaurant. I never get the KFC when I'm here so I'm only reviewing the Long John Silver's side. They are on an isolated part of US-9, away from shopping centers and the like, so you'd have to know roughly where they are to find them. Parking is more than sufficient, although I've never actually been here when it's busy.
Went a week later 9-24-2016 2:40 order a platter. Apparently only had three sides-prepared. When I foolishly asked for mashed potatoes the employee just nastily repeated the three sides they had. I just left and will never return. I can handle some stupidity and not having the main food they sell ready but rude employees is the end for me. This is the Howell NJ on Rt 9 store.
Went last Saturday 9-17-2016 about 2:30 pm , waited in the drive thru line with one car in front of me for over 5 mins. Just about to leave when the car pulls up. I order the fish and they tell me it will be 10 -15 minutes. I left.
I have a grandson who is artistic and wanted extra sauces manager said no!. He also wanted frenchfrys instead of mashed potatos again no was the answer.
Service wasn't up to snuff. I thought the cashier was fine and very enthusiastic. However, when the manager chided him in front of customers, that was a bit off-putting, especially since the mistake he made wasn't of any consequence and wasn't anything that I would mind. The fish we ordered was pretty much standard Long John Silver's quality, although the batter seemed a tad too salty. The biggest downside though is this restaurant doesn't have self-serve soda dispensers. Yes, you can get refills, but you'd have to ask at the service counter, which is a bit inconvenient.
I was told by the attendant that the fry their fish is the same oil as the chicken. So that is a problem if you don't eat chicken.
I really don't like this place when I ordered a fish sandwich from here I opened up the sandwich and the fish was not cooked out all still have eyeballs very upset because I love fish just not eating them
