The Monmouth county "9 hole plus" deal is unbeatable $30-35 after 3 or 4pm (depending on time of year or week vs weekend) with cart included and 90% of the time you can get 18 holes in.
Even with renovations occurring around the course, the course is still in very good shape. Greens are smooth and fairways are flush. The rough is full and the sand is soft. Large greens and wide fairways add to the experience to make it fun for anyone.
Many holes just underwent bunker reconstruction and it was very well thought out. They have removed some bunkers and added some that have made the course play entirely differently and much better. Pace is consistent and manageable.
Only negative is the bunkers that have not been recently renovated are horribly rocky. Not sure why they didn't add new sand to these older bunkers while they were reconstructing the new ones. Most of the greenside bunkers you have a chance to chip your wedges up on pebbles.
Love this course and happy to see them doing work, but it is ridiculous that I was charged regular price to place and additional 6 par 3s. They are doing some great bunker work and have move the tees sooooooo far up that the holes are ridiculous. I could have had a better experience and paid lower greens fees at Bel Aire. Way worse than aerated greens.

Haven't played golf here in several year & have to say it's once again back to it's old form. Superb condition, steady 4.5 hour pace with no waiting (on a July Saturday afternoon) & still challenging & forgiving at the same time. Greens were perfect for summer play. Kudos to course Superintendent!
Wonderful course that I play weekly. Great mix of challenging holes and forgiving holes with a chance to score. Large greens that are easy to hit but difficult to putt on, not a flat green on this course
