Love taking my dog here. Very clean. Trails for miles. Lots of garbage cans. Certain parts of the perimeter trail can get very muddy and flood if we get a lot of rain.
Beautiful park and fishery. Park rangers are friendly, clean bathroom facilities, excellent boat ramp. Electric motors only ! The only gripe is that if you have an outboard motor, you must take off the prop or take out the gas tank. Life jackets must be worn at all times by all boaters. There is a small fee to launch at the ramp and it's currently 7 dollars at the time of this post. Nature center is pretty cool for the kids and the biking and hiking trail around the reservoir is clean and well maintained. Weekends are crowded so expect the boat ramp to be busy.
Very nice and clean park. The 5 mile trail around the reservoir makes for an awesome walk or bike ride. Awesome playground and free nature center for the kids.
The trail around the reservoir is easy, and is rather crowded. A lot of casual bicyclists will zip by, and most didn't announce themselves as it would be the case for more experienced cyclists. Luckily, the trail is about 8-12 ft wide... Photographers will be a bit disappointed since the trail goes for most parts through the woods and not much of the reservoir can be seen. The environmental center is worth a walkthrough with a good number of local reptiles, amphibians, insects, etc are on display.
Great family friendly place with an amazing trail and great atmosphere. It's also clean and has bathrooms on the spot and a wild life preserve center. Great for meditation and fishing.
